Patricia’s Story

Patricia has 10 years experience teaching ninth grade. This year, her district provided her with Ed-Fi-powered dashboards. The dashboards gave her fingertip access before the first day of school to key student information that, in earlier years, would have been buried in disparate databases and student files used throughout her school, district and state. As the year progressed, Ed-Fi-enabled tools consolidated all the information Patricia needed to track student and classroom progress on an ongoing basis – in one place. By logging into the tool to regularly review student assessments, period-level attendance, and other progress indicators, Patricia could precisely pinpoint the students who needed help, and reach them with effective interventions before problems grew. By the time end-of-year testing rolled around, all her students were performing at grade-level.
