Both Ed-Fi Community leaders have achieved the Ed-Fi Managed ODS / API Platform Badge which allows education organizations to quickly deploy the Ed-Fi Technology Suite regardless of size or in-house technical expertise
July 21, 2020 – AUSTIN, Texas – Ed-Fi Alliance, a non-profit, dedicated to empowering a community of educators with real-time, comprehensive student data, today announced that both Certica Solutions’ Videri + Data Connect platform and InnnovateEDU’s Landing Zone solution have achieved the Ed-Fi Managed ODS / API Platform Badge. This badge is earned by solution providers that have developed a robust Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering which adheres to Ed-Fi’s rigorous quality, availability, and transparency standards. For education agencies looking to modernize their data management infrastructure, these offerings provide a valuable option to have a partner manage, maintain, upgrade and support a school district or states’ Ed-Fi implementation on a cloud platform through a subscription model.

The Ed-Fi Badging program enables education technology vendors to demonstrate that they have adopted elements of the Ed-Fi Technology Suite to serve the needs of districts and state education agencies who are using Ed-Fi Technologies to tackle their data challenges. Four new badges were added to Ed-Fi’s Partner Program in June 2020. These include: API Consumer, API Provider, ODS Platform Consumer, and Managed ODS / API Platform. The Managed ODS / API Platform Badge is intended to recognize partners who provide a SaaS offering that gives education agencies, without the desire or capability to dedicate substantial technical resources, a cost-effective option to have the best-in-class data and reporting infrastructure that utilizes the Ed-Fi Technology Suite.
State and Local Education Agencies that are considering how to get started with Ed-Fi can rest assured that vendors that have earned any Ed-Fi Badge can help them achieve an accurate, effective and successful Ed-Fi implementation.
